New include/exclude functionality
Published: 11:21 am, 7 October 2011
This week we launched some new features in Lissly that will increase the quality of your monitoring to better fit your keyword, project or account with the exclude and include functionality.
Many customers want to specifiy this for each keyword, project or for their whole account and we have now made this possible with Exclude source and Custom blog feed.
Exclude source
Sometimes you find stuff that you don’t want to be included in your keyword, project or account monitoring. It could be your own Twitter account, your forum profile, your own blog that you want to be excluded to get better statistical data.
When you exclude a source you have the following options:
- Exclude the source for the whole account.
- Exclude the source for the selected Project.
- Exclude the source for the specific keyword/keywords.
- For Forums you also have the option to exclude all posts from that specific forum or from the specific forum user
You will still see the excluded source for historic data but the time you exclude a source it will be excluded from that time onwards.

If you want to manage your exclusions you can find this under Settings -> Excluded sources:

Custom blog feed
If you have a specific blog in a niche that you find that you really want to have included you can now add it with the “Custom blog feed” function.
Just add the feed URL and we will show you a preview how it will look like in Lissly and if it looks ok you can just add it.

If you know another source that is not a blog, a forum or another local social media, please contact us and we will try to implement it as fast as possible!
Besides these two new functions we have improved our data a lot which will make one and two character searches much better as well as added even more forums!
